Come and celebrate all things frosty and Festive with our December show “Winter Wonderland” featuring our very own Art First Artists.

The city of Fredericksburg is home to many talented and motivated artists. The original founders of Art First envisioned a place where these artists could exhibit their work. At Art First Gallery one will find a wide range of art for every prospective collector, from fine arts in a traditional manner to contemporary, abstract works. Paintings as well as artist rendered prints, photography, ceramics, original paperworks, fine weaving, sculpture, jewelry and mixed media are represented.

For January First Friday: The January “All Member Red Tag Sale!”. Art First Artists are prepping for the big event, curating the works they will put up for deep discounts.  Come and see the treasures they bring out.  Opening Reception will be during First Friday, January 3, 6-9pm. Light refreshments are available.

In addition to wonderful works of art in our gallery, we also offer lectures, workshops, individual and small group art classes and cultural events in our space.

Our gallery space is a work of art: renovated entirely by our artist members, we encourage you to make it part of your next visit to incredible, historic Fredericksburg, VA.

For January First Friday: Artful Dimensions show is an all member show titled “A Change in Scale”. Imagine something small that has grown in size, or something large that is now smaller.  Our artists have created their interpretations of such changes. Open 6pm-9pm on First Friday

Artful Dimensions is open Tuesday thru Sunday from 11AM ’til 6PM, and until 9PM on First Friday.

Brush Strokes Gallery features original fine art to compliment every décor. Original artworks include painting, drawing, charcoal, photography, jewelry, metal sculpture, and glass.

Located in the heart of historic Fredericksburg, the gallery is just a short walk down the hall of 824 Caroline Street.

For January First Friday: January’s show is “Winter Magic”. To some of our artists, that means a beautiful snowfall..  To others, it is a fresh bouquet of flowers on a table inside. Some see the season in black and white, others in vivid colors.  Join us for First Friday January 5 from 5-9.  Our show runs through January 28. Open from 11 AM until 9 PM on First Friday.   PETS and FAMILY friendly!

For January First Friday: Canal Quarter is Open until 8:30pm First Friday with art from 50+ of local artists!

For January First Friday:This month at FCCA there are two shows: “Celebrate Winter” a National Juried Exhibit in the main floor Frederick Gallery and a Holiday Show in the lower level Members’ Gallery.  Meet the artists between 6 – 8 pm.  Light refreshments serve.

LibertyTown Arts Workshop is a 13,000 square foot gallery with nearly 60 local craftspeople and artists. Here our artists create and show right on site in 27+ active studio spaces. We have potters, wood workers, welders, blacksmiths, oil painters, pastel artists, water colorists, and fiber art.

For January First Friday:This January we are happy to host our annual Student Show! Every January we feature stunning art from our talented students of all ages and experience levels! Open 5 to 9pm First Friday.

Open daily 10-8pm and 10-6 on Sundays. TONS of classes in all mediums!!

Fredericksburg’s newest art gallery features original American and European artwork. Come see paintings and sculptures dating from the 15^th century to the mid 20^th century as well as a few contemporary artists. We are located in downtown Fredericksburg, at 1015 Caroline St. and are open Wed.-Sat. 11am-7pm. We offer appraisals and conservation services for art as well as frames. At MFA of VA, we encourage and teach stewardship of our past and present but most of all, make it fun to collect it.

For January First Friday:Kick off the new year with creativity and inspiration with a collage art session with Gabriel Pons. we’ll transform your new year’s goals and dreams into a colorful collage masterpiece. 6-7:30pm ($35).

For January First Friday: Every Friday is Poetry Night at Original Grinds, Fredericksburg’s Art focused Coffee shop and venue space. Don’t forget to try the home baked pastries. OGs is open until 9pm on First Friday
